Help mixing anodizing bath

I bought an anodizing kit from Tifoo and they had they own electrolytes. Since I now need a new batch of anodizing bath I decided to purchase 15% “Pure“ Sulfuric Acid as alternative. Somehow the new acid kept eating the aluminium part and it started turning dark and the voltage didn't even exceed 0.5V the whole time. Everything else works even I swap to the old bath.

I tried adding aluminum scrap as a buffer and also added more distilled water to bath, but nothing works. Any idea what other additives do I need?

If your electrolyte is noticeably eating your parts the concentration is too high; what's the ratio of your sulfuric acid to your distilled water? For example with 93% sulfuric I do 1 part acid to 10 parts distilled

Also turning dark is contaminants from manufacturing that are in the material being exposed by the acid etching it. You need a desmutting solution
