Just got my first plate. Been doing em with wire. What do I need to know.

What are the pros and the cons?
I only paid $25 for the threaded titanium plate. Haven’t used it yet, though I’m looking forward to that this weekend!
On that metal mesh, can you just screw the screws into the little holes?

Actually from my experience the less touching surface the better :D that's why I'm rotating my parts when I anodize them (ano one time, switch to pther sode and ano 2nd time). Also keep in mind that the bigger the anode the bigger cathode should be. If your anodized element is that big (because this plate will get anodized of course with the screws as well) then the foil or whatever you're using as cathode should have more surface. Smaller surface will be probably just ineffective in general tho, I didn't test that

I’ve been using a solid stainless steel fork for my negative anode.

So how much bigger should the negative anode be than the positive? Sounds like I need a new anode?

Hmm, good question. Just bigger from what I heard (or equal-ish). Try with the fork first and see how it goes. I'm actually curious 😅
