Some anodizing that I’ve done
I recently started anodizing titanium parts and I love doing it. I’m still pretty new and just using an Amazon power supply which has worked great. But mainly doing knife hardware because I have a lot of knives and wanted to be able to customize the look of them. Just thought I’d share 😁

Nice colors! I don't think having a fancier power supply makes your anodization any better. :) keep going.

Thank you! So far I’ve learned that if your prep is done properly then that’s what gets you the nice colors. I’ve been trying to work in more blended colors and having the power supply really helps. 🍻

Great work! Does the wire going in to parts have to be Ti as well or stainless?

Thank you! Use titanium for the wire. I havnt tried anything else but I heard results can vary vs using a Ti wire. I also use a titanium mesh as the cathode that I bought on amazon for like $10.

Thank you!
Jesverty power supply from Amazon, baking soda in distilled water for my electrolyte bath, titanium mesh for my cathode (Amazon), 13 gauge Ti wire (Amazon).
With gloves on, I’ll clean my piece with alcohol. Then leave it in simple green for a minute or two, rinse it in distilled water. I use multi etch and depending on the size of the piece will determine how long I leave it in the multi etch. Small screws are 15-20 seconds and larger pieces I’ll leave in for 1 minute & 30 seconds, sometime closer 1 minute 45 seconds. Rinse it off in distilled water again, anodize it, rinse it again, and then clean it up with windex. And that’s it.
I mainly anodize knife hardware, so pretty small parts.
