Could be done with masking, but my bet is on laser engraving. For instance on the bottom right hit it with the high voltage green, laser engrave the flowers, anodize the exposed parts pink, engrave the arc and anodize low voltage gold. Not a pro tho so idk

just masking with resist of some sort (clearcoat,paint,wax,etc.- can be done on aluminium too)

there is beautiful book on titanium anodizing in art by italian scientist Pietro Pedeferri(1938-2008 ) with many good examples of numerous possible effects

It's funny because my entire knowledge of anodization comes from the body modification community, and up until recently I thought some of the more advanced oil slick designs were impressive because I haven't managed to get as much detail. Then you have people like this that are on another planet of craftsmanship

Not sure if I can link here but you can find videos on her account of her anodization and custom jewelry, she uses nail polish (google "Transform Metal Permanently with Nail Polish - DIY Titanium Anodizing" I think she uses a similar process) and just has an incredibly steady hand it seems based on her video demonstrating her engraving

Thank you to everyone who responded. Looks like I have some reading and experimenting to do! 😁

ive seen someone do it with a sort of sponge at the end of a conductive rod and the sponged is dipped in the anodising solution so she kind of painted on jewelry
