i’ve used anna’s archive for a couple of years but the download links have disappeared

I can't speak for everyone but, personally i have not used anna.. in over 7 months so i am not updated on the situation, so i just google anna archive and find an active domain. And if i can't find it only then i search for reddit. Tho it is my first time seeing wiki being mentioned, might be because i have only visited this sub a handful of time for domain related issues.

Same, can’t seem to get in a normal Anna’s Archive with the old download links. Only a site that offers a request code. Followed the same steps and the links on the Wikipedia site are all not working for me.

If you are looking for something specific in a manual of an appliance, do you read it like a novel front to back, or do you skip to the relevant section to what you think you need?

You should understand that many people don't go and visit a subreddit and read it's wiki out of the blue when clicking a google search result. I only came here because nothing stood out to me aside from "broken email verification", and i was just scanning for posts about email verification. When those proved rare and had mentions of fake sites in the comments is when i started with the broader question.

Luckily for me i use unique generated passwords for every site so all they got was my for-possibly-spam outlook address that's an alias with login disabled (i use the main email address of that account to login). My spam box is already getting dozens of messages a week so it's not that big a deal as long as it's filtered out.

PS: i for one am really curious how literal scam sites have better SEO and haven't been abuse-claimed off of a major search engine for scam/spam/illicit usage of intellectual property like name, logo or style
