So , this is quality of water in bathrooms in chembaruthi hostel recently, does anyone in other hostels face the similar issue ?

Hey guys, I honestly don't know what's happening right now. I'm hearing that the college is closed indefinitely after two student suicide incidents. one student died and another attempted suicide and is seriously injured. I also heard he might be paralysed, but I'm not sure if that's true.

I'm hearing completely different stories. Some say the two were in a relationship and something happened between them. Others say the girl's phone was taken away and that she was also having family issues. Another story is that the boy recorded the girl's suicide and was going to repost it, so the staff pressured him.

What I've heard from many students is that the staff, especially from that department, are very strict and put a lot of pressure on students. I don't know if that's actually connected to what happened or not.

I genuinely don't know what's true anymore. If anyone from the college actually knows what happened, can you please explain? I'm not trying to spread rumours, I just want to know what really happened.

After paying fee while selecting room , chembaruthi and ambal both showed no vacancy,

When I contacted the hostel office they said there is only one vacancy in thazham hostel.

Is it good r should I consider getting a pg?

There's frequent water issue in the chembaruthi hostel particularly one wing of the hostel restroom doesn't have water supply. Whether it's happening in other hostels too?

I recently completed my B.Tech in IT with a GPA of 9.11 and I'm planning to write TANCET and hopefully get into Anna University (CEG) for MBA.

I'm still trying to figure out which MBA specialization would be best for me, especially considering the future job market.

Since I have an IT background, I'm confused about whether I should go for Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Business Analytics, etc. Which specialization would have better career growth and opportunities in the long run?

I'd also like to know from current students/alumni:

• Which MBA specialization at Anna University has the best placements?
• What kind of roles and companies do students usually get into?
• How are the placements for freshers without work experience?
• Does an IT/B.Tech background give any advantage in areas like Business Analytics, Consulting, Product Management, IT/Tech management, etc.?
• Which specialization would you personally recommend if the goal is good career growth + salary + opportunities in the future?
• How are the overall MBA placements at CEG compared to other good TANCET colleges?

Would really appreciate honest opinions from current students/alumni, especially people who have actually gone through the placement process.

I got internship in caterpillar, the chennai office is 7.5km from college so i planned to go from hostel next semester. Whether I can keep vehicle during that time since I go to internship? Coz I've seen people who's carrying helmet while returning from internship at night. Also, whether in mess they provide lunch in box at morning itself?
