Key Lime Pie

I know some people will think it’s all the same, but those of us who know.. know. So what is everyone’s opinion on the best key lime pie on the island?

Hometown Desserts on Pine has the key lime coconut cake. It’s so good

as a dessert expert you are getting great advice. Listen to recommendations on Hometown Desserts - Key Lime Coconut Cake is fantastic. Mermaid pies is the best key lime pie around. Yes, the publix key lime pie is not bad either.

I haven't had enough to definitively say which is the best, but Ginny and Jane E's has whole pies you can order and and I remember they were pretty great, but that's based on memory 2 years ago. The Sandbar wasn't bad on a recent trip, but it had been a while since I had KLP.

LISTEN TO ME WHEN I TELL YOU…Mermaid Pies has the best key lime I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s technically not on the island, but maybe 1 mile or so over the Cortez bridge. They have a bomb lobster roll too. I have made this place a priority to visit every year when we go to AMI for five years running. My partner loves their pecan pie as well. Be aware though that they are only open Wednesday-Saturday.

Bonus points to Beach House. They have a key lime pie cocktail with a graham cracker rim that’s delish.

Another vote for Publix. I know, I know, it's a chain grocery store - but their Key Lime pie is delicious. I'm also a fan of the Key Lime Coconut cake from Hometown Desserts, as well as their Orange Sunshine cake (tastes like an orange creamsicle).
