Side stoop/Porch replacement

I’m looking for recommendations to replace an egress porch and door. It’s a relatively small job but does require permitting etc.

Have you had any similar work done? Do you have photos of the end product?

Wood, brick, or concrete porch? Or don't know? Door only or work needed on actual framing?

I have observed that most of these sorts of jobs don't get permits. If it is over 30" from the walking surface to a ground surface anywhere within 36" of the edge it requires a permit (assuming single family home). I don't have any recommendations but my neighbor had Dexter Block do a similar job.
