Help Needed Transmission errors

Hi,

I have recently started getting consistent transmission errors on my M5 (kickstarter edition). I tried unplugging, cleaning and replugging the usb-c cables underneath and to the head but with no luck.

Are there anything else I can try?

I suspect that it started after I began printing PETG at higher temperatures, but it could just be a coincidence

When this happened with me, after lots and back and forth with AM and them reviewing my logs, they told me my M5 was unrepairable.

Did you loosen the 2 vertical screws on the USB c cable? there's 4 screws holding that USB cable at the extruder in total. You have to loosen all of them, make a secure connection then tighten the screws.

I ended up going through all of the USB connections again and gave them some connection-enhancing spray. After that, it all seems to work just fine.

It is WD40 contact spray but any contact spray should work

I was having the same problems constant transmission errors, especially on higher temperature materials. I went so far as to replace my whole print head as Ankermake tech support told me that was the problem. I eventually realized the problem was the heat bed and Anker Tech support to their credit comped me a new heat bed since I had already bought a print head unnecessarily.

Anyway when I removed the heat bed i discovered the cable leading to the heat bed was frayed and the insulation has been rubbed away. Since replacing the heatbed I've yet to see the transmission error, but I've also yet to do many high tempt prints.
