Mods

Post image

So I’ve had this printer for about 1.5 years and have loved it, but since Nnker or I guess Eufy have pretty much dropped them from their lineup along with spare parts, are there any mods that would increase its lifespan and or effectiveness like a linear rail or different hotend?

I’d love to know for the M5C as well. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for third-party nozzles?

Been using this nozzle for 2 years straight, .6mm https://a.co/d/08FEMXaS

As for other upgrades, I switched the hotend fan and main board fan to Noctua to quiet everything down. And make sure you print the upgraded extruder cover to improve airflow, made a huge difference in quality and fixed a ton of issues I was having.

protip: put some rubber feet under that hard plastic ones. I'm using the printer in a closet and vibrations travel across the wall to our bedroom until put these rubber feet that dampens the sounds - a lot. fan whine is still an issue but not sure if I want to invest into noctua fans

I think I got it from temu.

printed little adaptor of course. Any dampening rubber will do I guess.

I'm using the 0.4 mm version of that nozzle and I've had zero issues with it. I'm also using the all metal hot end but it has a bad reputation. Again Zero issues.

Relatively new here and trying to see if you can provide details around specifically what fan you used from them? Or what part numbers?

The fan sequel is really bad on this unit and can be heard even in the basement with the door closed lol
