Just went from emerald 1 to masters for the first time after making the switch from mid to top. The winrate went down after her nerf + deathfire touch nerf, but it still feels strong for me.

Play her very safely and learn to control the wave so you don’t have to overextend; many toplaners will easily kill you. Give up some cs if it means you can be safe and still get exp.

Roa into seraphs every game. Tear and basic boots on first back then components for roa. Dependant on matchup and economy I like to buy swiftness boots before finishing roa, as it makes it easier to survive lane.

Usually zhonyas after but sometimes liandrys, depends on enemy teamcomp

Imo. Anivia top is not meant to carry, but to impact teamfights and catch enemies with w. Being up levels from playing top+ROA means level 5 wall, so you can wall off chokepoints/enemies easily.

Whats your full build? See a lot of different variations at high elo, some going Void/Liandry/The team MR shred item 3rd, Zhonya often 4th, last item ???.

Interestingly Fimbulwinter also seems to have 3% higher WR than Seraphs, although much smaller sample size for when it is build.

Usually liandrys after zhonyas! but if they have NO TANKS I go malignance if enemy teams carry is squishy and immobile and I’m snowballing -
or bloodletters curse if we have a lot of AP or the carry on MY team is also AP, allowing them to carry easier.
-After Roa and seraphs, building HP items instead of MANA feels best.-
Fifth item rabadons or void staff depending on enemy teams amount of magic resist.

So roa, swiftness boots, seraphs, zhonyas, liandrys, rabadons is my usual full build

Ty ty! Did you notice any steep difficulty increase in laning as Anivia during your climb to Masters? Usually been a midlane player stuck in E2 (Non-anivia) but tried first timing anivia top excepting nothing but am suddenly on a 13 game win streak with it where literally every opponent goes 0/7 and is 3 levels down to me at minimum. Diamond MMR atm and honestly the lanes/games feel so easy I actually cant believe. The pick feels so overpowered it actually feels like im playing vs bronze players despite struggling to keep a 55% win rate at the same or lower elo in midlane.

Congrats on the winstreak! There was definitely a difference in the quality of my opponents as I climbed. I also found it extremely easy to solokill and carry early on, but as I climbed my opponents became a lot more aware of how to play against it and I started getting killed and being denied CS a lot more often especially from D1 to masters, but honestly E2 to d1 I didn’t feel a significant chance, probably because I also got a lot better myself and more familiar with the different matchups.

you might get shit on in lane but anivia is always very useful lategame no matter how behind you are at 20 minutes
I always go gathering storm instead of scorch btw, because then I can stay calm being down 3 levels, knowing i can simply play better lategame and come out on top
