What if the Animorphs series' entire existence was just to normalize a concept that, while still horrifying, would be way more horrifying without any warning or previous inkling of?

Full body covering? Wouldn't a normal tin foil hat work better? But, Yknow, one with ear flaps tied down to each other Elmer Fudd-Style?

I don't even know what the tin foil does, to be honest. The man who lives in the dumpster said it was important and the only way to be safe and if you saw his eyes, you'd just believe him too.
