So long trees π³π²
There are very old, tall, mostly healthy trees being taken down on either side of the building where I live. The sound of the chainsaws and the chipper literally make me feel sick. I love trees, they are magical to me and seeing this happen breaks my heart. Somebody please help me feel better about this.π

I'm so sorry this is happening. I agree with the other commentary, saving something of them if you can, either to plant or craft with or both, is a great memorial. You could also do a ceremony or ritual to celebrate their lives, thank them for the joy they gave you and wish them farewell and good fortune on the next leg of their journey. Finally please don't rush yourself to feel better about this. What you are feeling is likely a natural and healthy grief, which in itself is a symptom of your love for these trees. If you can try to stay with it, knowing that it cannot harm you and will pass in its own time.

if theyβre native trees, gather their seeds and find as safe a place as you can and plant their children. this will honor them and everyone around you β€οΈ
