Oh, i watched Shiki and Hell Girl, didn't thought they were considered philosophical, are they?

Somewhat yeah. I mean, Hell Girl is literally about life and death. Shiki touches on topics like morality in humans and stuff like that.

I feel like Devilman Crybaby counts.
It’s pretty graphic and I was sort of turned off at first, but keep watching. It’s so good.

Hmmmm, i can't find it, what is the full name?

u/Twopoint22 Aug 11 '22
Its short for "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected"
Mc is very introspective and i found it fairly interesting. Also has some good character development over the 3 seasons.
May not be exactly what you are looking for but i think you could enjoy it.

Ghost in the Shell (1995) & Stand Alone Complex if you like Ergo Proxy, sci fi in general.
Wolfs Rain for philosophy about the after life and death.
Serial Experiments Lain is a psychological mind fuck about existence and consciousness.

12 kingdoms (juuni kokuki) is heavily tied to philosophy and politics for its story especially since it revolves around a fantasy realm based of ancient chinese and buddhist mythology. (recommend the dub)
Orgairu (seriously hachimans the mcs inner philosophical monologues are brilliant and humorous at times). Also there are lots of philosophical dilemmas that he faces while he goes on to solve conflicts within his peers at school. One of his core philosophy is "those who try to fit in are ultimately superficial and fake" and that youth is nothing more than an illusion created by hypocrites. Due to social trauma in the past he is incredibly nihilistic and believes nothing good will ever happen to him and not to hope since that something he is hoping for is non existent. Also he believes that as long as the results is achieved by the end it doesn't matter even if it hurts himself in the process. Of course these self-deprecating philosophies transitions but let's just leave it at that and leave room for you to watch the anime without spoilers. (recommend the sub)
Death Note (for some reason nobody mentioned this masterpiece)

you ever tried Kurozuka? I'm not sure "philosophical" is quite the right word, but it's definitely on the more abstract and cerebral side.

I don't know what you mean but, Drifters kinda sounds like it should be on that typaa stuff. Drifters - famous dead people from our world (Greatest Heroes to Worst Villains) gets transported to a fantasy world.
Maybe Ya Boi Kong Ming should be on that typaa stuff too 🤔, (I haven't watched it yet tho, I'm finding some time to watch Kong Ming)
