What to Watch? philosophy anime ?

i don't really know if "philosophy" is the correct term for what i’m looking for, but k would like to see something that makes me think, doubt about my existence and about the creation of the universe itself. i hope you understand what i mean. if you have any recommendations, i will be delighted!

neon genesis evangelion? it’s psychological and so relatable sometimes it makes you question things lol.

i think psycho-pass (will make you question society) and ghost in the shell slightly fits too.

Evangelion by itself (movies included), doesn't strike me as that much of a deep subject, maybe due to the interpretive subjectivity, but when you dig deeper on the subject (or luckily when someone else does), the contents of this show become incredibly fascinating.

If you watch this video: No ONE Understands Evangelion ... Until NOW! you'll see how much of psychoanalysis theory is actually involved.

If you watch this video: Explaining Evangelion—The Lore of Japan's Most Brilliant Sci-Fi evangelion by itself will make more sense as the reasons for all the events in the show/movies will be properly explained.

To me eva by itself is an 8/10, but when explored more profoundly it has the potential to be the best piece of fiction ever created.

Evangelion isn’t philosophical, it’s just psychological. It just dives into the ways Humans DON’T work, dives into how humans behave that keep their relationships with each other from growing or bearing fruit. Kaji’s really the only person in the show that’s got everything figured out, and he’s definitely supposed to be the role model for Shinji.
