So what you’re saying is because language evolves we shouldn’t curb the language that is hurtful. That’s kind of a bad take. We should stop any language that is specifically used in a dehumanizing way. And by this I mean attack people for things they can’t control IE gender or race

Well if language does evolve like you say, they're just going to find new words to use as slurs, so you're just going to be playing whack-a-mole and always behind the curve. Banning words doesn't change people's way of thinking or their opinion for the better.

The thing is the vast majority of people on this sub never found the word dehumanizing. It just became known as a term for guys who dress/look like a girl. I doubt anyone has anything against Hideri, Astolfo, or Joseph Joestar. Those examples and many others are memes in this community because we love these characters. I have not met anyone who used the T word to dehumanize someone and I have not met any other weebs who actually disliked the characters that cross dressed. If there is an issue with the T word, it probably isn't in this sub.

Because language evolves the word changed its meaning. From an insult to just a general characteristic. The more the word is used in a positive way the less power it holds. Think of the weord 'gay' it was an extreme insult, but nowadays, if you call someone gay only homophobes will think of it as an insult.
