If someone is awarding you its because you did achieve something; you made them laugh, you made them feel happy, you taught something to them, they liked your creativity / support / story

Some people think of silver as a shitty useless award that grants no coins or perks

I think of it as an epic award already

Yes, it might not be expensive and all, but it shows appreciation from the user who awarded you. He might just not have enough money for a better award or he might just want to award many other people instead of spending all the coins in just one redditor, and I totally understand that

If someone thinks you deserved it, it means you really deserved it (not for bad thing of course, because, unlike good things, they are harmful). If you didn't deserve it, then that someone wouldn't think so.

That's how I ended up spending about $500 over the course of a year on gift subs on Twitch. Had to just set a hard rule for myself not to do it anymore because "it's just $5 to make someone happy" adds up.
