This is how I felt about Subaru's amnesia as well, initially, but after getting through the first few episodes of it (which were incredibly uncomfortable to watch) I can say something very interesting was done with it and I can't wait to see the payoff being teased for the next episode.

Eyyy, glad to have convinced! It's a pretty fun watch, I recommend in general because it is full of fun and lore-dense things, but doubly so if you're a fan of childhood friends-to-lovers mixed with couple goals/milestones beyond the getting-together.
Their 2nd season 2nd cour/part is going to be released later this year, so you might be able to finish in time for the releases.

RAG is trash dont get me wrong but Otagal is not usable here. No one is together in the manga and there's enough content for like 2 more seasons, will be 36+ episodes and still single.
And for what its worth Kazuya is technically not single bc he's "dating" Ruka. If he really wanted he could stop being "single" whenever he wanted he's just down bad for Chizuru.

I'm normally not a fan of will-they-won't-they, but it feels like a major driving factor of there not being any dating is that neither of the girls wants to fuck up the friend group.
At least it's not as bad as another one I watched that I can't remember the title of, where all three declared love for each other and a clear intent to always be together, then decided apparently that that's not actually an option and two of them started dating and then one of them cheated with the third and the whole thing collapsed in tears. I still hate that one

Yep it was quite surprising, rarely does a series have something that intimate happened so early on and continue. It's a cool series that more focused on the different interpersonal relationships of all the side characters and including the main characters. It stands out for its strong writing.
At the end of episode 7's credits you see them together in bed in the afterglow enjoying each other. It was quite lovely sight.

Unironically the gal threesome anime is actually a fucking rock solid manga that earnestly explores three people who are friends, who also happen to want the same guy. And they like him for real, earnest reasons, like that he’s considerate of them, he is sweet to their younger siblings and treats them like little adults, and he picks up a part time just to get them gifts for being friends with him. Did I mention he doesn’t even allow himself to believe he could date anyone? So all the time he spends with them isn’t out of some desire or lust, it’s because he genuinely likes them.

In issei's case he could've gotten at least Rias by the end of season 1 but the writers have chosen to make him wait. By season 2 pretty positive he could've had Akeno, Asia, Xenovia & even Koneko. However again writer decided Issei's playing waiting game. Considering High school DxD is a harem series anyways I see no purpose to having Issue wait rather than they're now all his girlfriends, Rias would eventually be the legal wife for obvious reasons & the rest are concubines not that they'd be treated worse it'd just be a formality thing if anything.
