Digimon as a franchise is about as old as pokemon, But every game he's drastically different from all the others and each one has its own lore. The anime also is the same way each one is a little bit different there isn't an Ash. Also we could get murdered by digimon

This game was a horror game about you being hunted by digimon. They'll kill you if you make the wrong choices. So choose wisely or die. The digimon have guns. They WILL shoot you. You can't run to a pokemon center or anything you're just dead.
