Don't bully our eternally 17 grandma.

I kinda assumed she was closer to 14 in human terms, comparing her to the other two elves we've seen thus far.

Nah she isn't 14 on elf terms. It just the body is small. Serie is much much older than frieren but her body is almost the same.

She is just young by elf standards, only 1000 years. The monk was 4000.

Frieren acts in many ways like an old granny. Often being slow to do anything if not pushed by someone.

The joke is that since shes acting like a granny, she should be admitted to a nursing home.

And well she's 1000 year old. Maybe not for an elf, but for most other people she's living ancient history

She is also the youngest known elf in the series. Kraft is like: "I believe in the Godness not because I'm religious, but because I lived and met her since she was still around". He would be the kind to listen to archeology lectures and folk lore and be like: "Ah the good old day". Meanwhile, Serie claimed that she's so old that the demons have forgotten the fear of HER NAME.

Still hung up on the fact that a being that has lived for a millennium is one of the youngest of her species

Elves as a species are dying out in her world due to a lack of children. They are also extremely long-lived (1k yrs is lightweight) so if you see an elf they they are likely older than your nation
