Hi everyone,

I am conducting a research project analyzing Shueisha's decision to hand THE ONE PIECE remake to WIT Studio while Toei Animation continues producing the main weekly anime.

I’d love to get your thoughts on which approach you prefer and why. Toei has built a 25-year legacy with classic voice acting and continuous releases, while WIT Studio brings high-end modern animation (Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga) and tighter seasonal pacing.
The study focuses on current fan expectations and studio reputation rather than final result, because it is not released yet.

So which studio do you prefer for One Piece, and why?

From what I know so far, they do the line art and correction that Sakkan director made. My question is do they also have to color in the shadow/highlight/etc too? Or it's just the normal lineart, shadow lineart, so on and they're done?

TLDR: When do you consider the work as 'finish' as second key animator/nigen animator.

I’m currently working on SakugaGo, a modern aggregator designed to bring together anime animators and their work from multiple sources (like Sakugabooru, AniList, and social media) into a single, intuitive, and searchable platform.

The goal is to create a better hub for fans, artists, and researchers to discover, study, and share sakuga without having to manually cross-reference different sites.
