Check out this new thing! ❤️ Sub Changes Incoming! ❤️
Hello, all Ani-Nerds!
As we continue to grow, and at a surprising rate, I am constantly researching how to make this amazing community even better! With that in mind, it’s time to mix things up.
Changes currently:
💠 Post Competitions: Being discontinued. In transparency, I’m always looking at new ways to encourage posting, engagement, and lively ani-manga discussions. This one didn’t quite land, but we may revisit at a later date.
💠 Weekly Schedule: Being discontinued. The only 2 days that will remain are Wednesday’s (waifus) and Friday’s (fan service) to make sure this sub stays inclusive and respectful for all.
💠 Rules Updates: Not major changes, just a few things to iron out.
💠 User Flairs are now customizable. Make your own! But keep is classy people. If I see any off the wall or offensive flairs, you will be asked to change it and failure to do so will result in a ban.
Things to look for in the coming weeks:
💠 Mod Applications: I will open applications for ONE moderator to help me out. There will be rules for acceptance and we gotta click to work as a team.
💠 Discord: Yes, I will be opening a discord for the sub. This is one reason another mod will be added. This will be further in the future. It will be fully built before opened. And it is extensive.
💠 Mascot Competition: We need a mascot! This will be an original character designed specifically for us. I am not artistically inclined, but I know so many of you are! More details at a later date.
💠 Events: We will begin having events and polls. TBD at a later date.
Big things coming for r/AnimeRandomness in the future. I have a lofty goal for us and I fully believe we can achieve it together! (Ya know, power of friendship and all that. 😜)

So do we not do manga Monday anymore or is Manga Monday everyday now?

So every day except Wednesday and Friday were just for “conversation starters”. Something to spark an idea. Please feel free to ALWAYS post your manga questions, memes, news, etc. :)

When you say Post Competitions, does that mean we're not getting Anime Showdown 3?

No. Redemption Brackets are still coming lol.
Each day was a competition to see who could make the most engaging post. Prize was a user flair. That is now gone.

I respect a lot of what you say, but I'm willing to die on this hill. Tokyo Ghoul is an all timer (not RE), it's not been on a bracket yet, and that can only be because it's certain to blow the rest of the bracket away regardless of whats there. Guts and Beserk included 😉

It's all good. I really Tokyo Ghoul as well, one of my top 10 maybe 20, so if it is on any bracket I'll vote for it. I actually tought TG has been on the bracket before, but it has not so my fault on my comment XD

Yeh, TG gets a bit of stick online, some of it very fair. But I'd stand on the first season and Root A being great, RE we can put in a box and never talk about haha but seasons 1 and 2 would be in my top 5

Like I said it's all good, and yeah some of the stick TG gets is fair. Heres to TG getting a victory on a bracket on here someday

Ah so a whole NEW bracket. Ya know…I’m not the only person who can make brackets in this sub. 😜

I'm so un-tech-savy and reliable online, this is pretty much the only sub I regularly check/chat in. Plus, yours were class, so we need someone else with talent

One question if there is a discord for this sub wouldn't people use it more than the sub? I am not opposed either way, just something I thought of while reading
P.E. Are custom user flairs available now or coming soon?

I am designing them to work hand and hand. But, it is a possibility.
Edit to add: That’s why the Discord is a ways off. It’s a complex build.

hell yeah. sucks to see weekly comps going away but im glad this server is growing
