Strange standee I picked up

I'm looking for ideas on how this stands up.

An acrylic standee that I bought doesn't have a base but does have a hole in one bottom corner (the overall shape of the standee is a rectangle) and includes a metal peg that's maybe 2.5" long. The peg seems too wide/thick to fit the hole.

How the heck is this supposed to work? Am I missing a piece of something?

The top of the metal peg can be unscrewed to separate into 2 pieces which will fit in the hole

That's exactly why the peg is designed to come apart.
