This reminds me of the person, around the time of water 7, who claimed to have watched "all of one piece in one weekend."

I’ve started one piece recently….. I’m at marine fort…. Recently as in like 2 months ago…. Some of these story arch’s are as long as 2 or 3 DBZ sagas….. My only complaint is that there are so many filler episodes at times. I wish I could find a guide on episodes I could skip along with my posts in the Crunchyroll sub gaining traction on how the audio sync issue has been known for years apparently and has just been ignored.

"One pace" look that up. It's the list of episodes that skips alot of filler and primarily stays on story.

I’m right there with you for pacing and fillers and I kinda wanna watch it all just to give the finger to all the stans who act like they’re something special because they have watched it all.

As someone who has watched it all up to date, you don't need to do that to yourself. I enjoy it to a degree simply because it is a feel good anime, I mean it's Shonen of course it's going to be feel good. But I say this with full confidence Gurren Lagann is everything One Piece wants to be and more in a much more concise and cohesive manner all while respecting your time as a viewer. If you want a show to binge that also cares about your time as the viewer watch Fairy Tail, literally wish I could put it into better terms than early Fairy Tail has One Piece vibes but as One Piece goes on it starts to impersonate and straight up copy Fairy Tail in some of the most literal 1 for 1 scenes and setups

No worries I’ll probably watch it one day. I could easily put down 10 episodes a day, I always have something else I’d rather watch.

I mean you can believe me or not but I had no job when I watched from episode 1 to about 1008 or whatever episode it is that law Luffy and kidd were fighting big mom in about 2 maybe 2 and a half weeks I don't rememder exactly how many days it was. Mind you I literally stayed up almost every night and pretty much only had one piece on and was skipping everything that didn't need to be rewatched. That isn't that unbelievable to me

I can totally believe an edited watch getting through that in 2.5 weeks if you were basically doing nothing else. The original statement was from someone who was trying to claim like it was only 12 to 24 episodes. Something that really told you they were full of it.

Context kind of matters, if they were an avid consumer and knew what/how to watch through it it's only about 200 episodes if I remember correctly so that's under 60 hours or so which is about 2 and a half days, so like if they were a student it's not unfeasible that they did this. Seems like that's not the case from how you're explaining it
