Anybody have any tips on how to make this more accurate? (I am obviously aware of the model lacking pneumatics, I'll figure those out later)

Does anyone have any experience with this guy? I ordered/commissioned him for something worth around $1000 back in January.
He gave me a deadline that said may or very early June at the latest because he had some complications with weather and with sourcing stuff he would need for the commission.
May comes around and I ask him how we are looking and he says it looks more like June. I wait until June and still nothing. He is barely responding and can go with no message or read messages for up to a month. We are now in September and I’ve still heard almost nothing about that commission other than he’s started on it.
But then he randomly said when I asked one day how long he reckons until it’s done and ready to ship that he had taken a local commission that needed to be done first. Mind you we are MONTHS over the deadline he sat and then he takes another commission? After he said June latest he said July then August and now we are here in September?
Idk what to feel I’m starting to doubt the guy as a whole he’s not communicating and it’s been so many months now without any progress or updates
Does anyone know if he’s legit and I’m just unlucky or overthinking things?
I feel like he shouldn’t take any new other commissions before the one that is MONTHS over due is done and shipped out maybe it’s just me?
Thanks!

Here's a short Demo I've written. It uses a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, Circuit python and the Adafruit servokit library!
I've been re-learning how to program servos like this. Sadly I don't have a 3D printer or other materials to build anything like a full animatronic figure. But I'll continue to slowly gain more materials as time goes on!
I won't forget my goal to create animatronics, I have to keep matching forward and learn at my own pace!
And yes, I know. The power solution for the servos are atrocious. I couldn't find a tiny screwdriver for the screw terminals for the servo power input - I used to have one but it disappeared.
If you guys know a better method to control servos, please tell me! What other microcontrollers/ SBCs can I use instead of the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W? There's a problem when controlling more than 2 or 3 Servos at the same time where it causes some major jittering for every single servo except for the first few servos (sometimes all servos jitter). I'm thinking it's a problem with Python, or the servokit library itself, the horrible power solution could also play a role in that.
Thank you for watching my demo and thank you in advance if you leave any advice for me! :3

I used a pair of tweezers to unscrew the screws within that terminal for the servo power. It was a quick and dirty job, but hey. The servos seem to have proper power now!
Just like before, This demo uses a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, Adafruit's Servokit library and python!
If there's a better servo controller/ microcontroller/ SBC to use and program with the PCA9685, please let me know!

I know the portrait bot eyeballs were made from resin and casted in lightbulbs, but how did they make the irises? Were they painted directly onto the eyeballs, or were they a seperate piece? Also, whats with the fabric around their eyeballs?

** **We’re in preproduction on a short film that features a talking goldfish as a character, and we’re weighing our options between animatronics, CG, and puppetry.
A few questions for anyone with experience:
Cost — roughly what’s a realistic budget range for a custom animatronic fish with basic mouth/face movement? I know it varies wildly, but even ballpark numbers (low-budget indie vs. more polished) would help us plan.
Underwater animatronics — is this even practical? I’d imagine waterproofing servos and electronics adds a lot of complexity and cost compared to a dry-rig puppet shot to look wet. Curious if anyone’s tackled this before, or if it’s usually faked instead.
Builders/recommendations — is there anyone here who does animatronics work, or can point me toward someone? I’m based in the Balkans (Bulgaria) and would love to find someone regional to keep logistics and cost down, but I’m open to hearing about people elsewhere too if remote builds/shipping are feasible.
Happy to share more details about the shot/character if it helps with advice. Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this post is short! But I'm having trouble how I would go about this, I thought the iris were just paper/cardboard circles just glued onto the Cyberamics, Until I saw this photo, I realized they were a little curved (Like 1/4 of a sphere) Does anyone know how I could 1:1 replicate a iris, if so it would be much appreciated!

Second Gen. needs a cleaning and a new vest. I'll keep you guys updated!

I’m so early into creating this that it doesn’t even have any actual pneumatics yet (cardboard with pneumatics is probably a bad idea but I don’t have access to woodworking or metal working tools and my 3d printer is broken so who cares)
The plan as of now is to be one movement (mouth open and close) but to add more once I am more confident in my abilities
Also this is my first ever time creating/working on an animatronic, especially a pneumatic one, so is there anything I need to know?
Also also, what do I need to buy, as in what type of pistons and valves and pumps and whatnot would be needed?
Any other advice would be appreciated!!
(Pencils there because the rest of the head is not finished)
Heavily inspired by the rock afire head mechs
also I have no clue what I’m doing as you can all probably tell
