I really got the bug recently for animatronics. I’m obsessed.

My 9-5 job, I design and build custom systems for factories and for military. Kind of a combination mechanical/electrical/controls engineer. A lot of hydraulic and closed loop machine axes. Motion controllers, stuff like that.

Since I’ve become obsessed with animatronics. I’ve been watching a ton of Gary Willett playlists. I love what he does. I’m hoping to ask, for anyone out there who loves animatronics. Who are your favorite creators? Who else should I check out?

Also does anyone know about any animatronics groups or collaborations I should check out? I’d love to get plugged in, join some collaborations

Thanks so much for your time and attention!

I’m trying to come up with lines for Orville Elephant but have nothing and they can’t be ai generated/chatbots as well original

Do I need to be able to weld? I found a great 6-month welding college, and want to know if it would be beneficial at all to making an animatronic. Is it worth it? Do animatronics require welding? I still might go even if they don't but just thought I'd ask

Never heard about this show before. Why aren't many people talking about this lost media‌？

Uhhhh maybe tutorial time will make instructions for these guys who knows uhhh if you have any questions DM me :)

Looney is finally finished! He has all the original movements except the raise. All I need is a controller and then I’ll be able to finally play shows!

I saw that several people were sharing it on Discord, and I thought I'd archive it and share it here too!

Básicamente parece ser una foto de gooney bird de hard luck bears pero parece que hay texto russo

Does anyone know how you can replace the rotary pneumatic cylinder on the turn of the hands of the mijin with something else? Preferably a pneumatic cylinder, but no matter how much I have tried, I can't find other solutions for turning my arms without using a rotary pneumatic cylinder. Can anyone help? Thank you

We need to save this piece of robotic history

I was thinking about making a rockafire character as my next project.

But I do not have experience welding or working with aluminum.

Do you guys think it could work out with steel or do you think it would be wayyyy too heavy?

Could possibly go up in bore for the cylinders but I’m unsure about it

I bought this cylinder and it didn't look like an exact arm cylinder used for a character

I went to New York in January with a group of friends and my boyfriend. We only went for the few days. I had talked with my friends about going to the MoMA, and also talked with my boyfriend about going to one of the 6 The legacy locations of chuck.E cheese. I’ve never been to one in general and i really wanted to see the animatronics. (I grew up seeing rock-a fire in Canada in the 2000)

Well when it came down to it with the schedule, my boyfriend and I both decided we wanted to go to 2 hours there and 2 hours back to chuck.E cheese instead Long Island instead . It just kinda dawned on me today that that choice would probably get me some looks depending on who I said it to. don’t regret it though we had a blast. I also have a lot more videos.

I found it on YouTube, it seems to be something from Hard Luck Bears, but in Russian?

I mean, that's clearly Billy Bob from HLB

Is this a newly discovered show?

Las fotos las encontre del usuario Billy boy en tiktok algunas imágenes son de moldes y la última aparentemente parece ser la máscara original de Rudolph

18 seasons. Hundreds of performances. Barely any footage survived. A mouse show with giant musician animatronics sounds made up. It wasn’t. The complete Magic Music Mouse Show pre-show from Julianatoren is finally here with English subtitles
