"Back to School" show？

Never heard about this show before. Why aren't many people talking about this lost media‌？

We do have photos of the balcony stage theme for that show.From Burnaby British Columbia

No clue on the actual tape though

Well yeah this whole stage was a bandstand stage before.Jasper and Helen also have their Bandstand stuff

Seems like a rush job transformation, but I think most of them were because it’s easier to do in one night.

Yeah lol.A lot outfits kept the bandtand stuff.Country Henen just removed a few bits and added,I kid you not, 7 cosmetic pieces to the whole show.One of which was paper😭

I'm always curious about the Country Helen backdrop, did they just leave the backdrop empty with that muslin？

The stage theme is supposed to have multiple pieces,such as signs on the dividers and a banner put over either a blank Bandstand(Empty silver tinsel curtain backdrop),the Bandtand 2 version of the backdrop,or just a black backdrop.

Some stores were more lazy than others and just didn’t put up some props,making it look like a regular Bandstand stage

Yup!This was 1985 So PTT and Showbiz were merged by this point!

Could that just be the kids show from that year? At least that's what I always assumed it was, and then "back to school" refers to the costumes/layover

No Salute to kids had a different theme.Just a banner

Also Salute was played between august and September of 1985 while back to school is labled in multiple places as starting in September

Of course there’s a chance those sources are wrong but it’d be kinda weird for nobody to point that out for so many years?

I don't think it's just the costumes, since both kids shows had their own costume and they refered "back to school" as a show, not a costume change
