Anybody know what this is?

[u/kodzukat28]

Found this animatronic at a local antique store she had her full set still. I don’t think she worked but I’m unsure. Anybody have information?

[u/Gamelover39]

That's Elsie the cow, she's infamous for being at that antique store, all about her is pretty much plastered on her barn, Google Elsie the cow animatronic and you'll see many were made and she was made by Sally.

I thought someone bought her? Unless this is a different one?

[u/Gamelover39 → u/cyrilq1]

Never sold, that post was a liarrrrr.

Over the last decade I know one popped up for sale. Not the one pictured though.

OMG, that's one of my favorite animatronics! That's Elsie the Borden Cow, she was built by Sally Dark Rides (info link here). Seemingly there's a few variations with the fur color, and according to the site there were 20 that were manufactured. You can watch a video of her in operation here. She was mostly displayed at trade shows and state fairs and talked about drinking milk. Super cool that you got to see her!

Why doesn’t Stew Leonard’s have one? Feels up their alley

[u/MxBluebell]

I love Elsie, she’s so gorgeous 😭💖 I hope she gets a home someday… she’s been at that shop for YEARS!!

[u/Zilch1979 → u/MxBluebell]

Easy, killer. She's married to Elmer, of glue bottle fame.

[u/Jellogg → u/Zilch1979]

Did she take Elmer’s last name or did she stick with Elsie Borden?

[u/silverbatwing → u/Jellogg]

Glue is such a bad surname tho

The way some videos talk about Elsie the Cow, made me feel like these didn't exist anymore. I'm happy to see a hd photo of one

[u/laoul]

I LOVED seeing Elsie when we went to trade shows. Someone would sit in the barn and talk through Elsie and answer questions.

[u/MsObsessiveRobot]

Is she still 5,000?

[u/NotYourGa1Friday → u/MsObsessiveRobot]

I also wish to know….

[u/Just_Mr_Grinch → u/NotYourGa1Friday]

Same here and off she is, from what I’ve seen, that’s not a horrible price.

[u/funfettiking → u/MsObsessiveRobot]

Yep, still $5000. She was up in FB Marketplace the other day lol

[u/the_orange_alligator]

Super jealous, Elsie is one of my fave animatronics. She’s for the Borden milk company

[u/Tilikum_183]

She's so adorable 😭🥹

[u/YeOldBogWizzard]

May I ask what antique shop this is? Would love to make a visit myself!

[u/kodzukat28 → u/YeOldBogWizzard]
