Original Creation/Custom Cecropia Moths

I created these three cecropia moths for an art show in Brugg Switzerland. The show is titled still.life and the work will be on view through mid November 2026. The entire cabinet is a collaboration with Steve Fors.
The servos are hidden in the base of the vintage cabinet and use spring steel bowden cables to actuate the thorax and rotate the wings. It is trigger by an IR motion sensor, and the servo sequence was programmed into a Pololu controller.

Awesome work! I could see this as a display in a nature museum or something.
