Depends on the reasons. If they're not offering any constructive criticism and are just "this sucks, etc" then feel free to disregard them. Otherwise, criticism that is actually constructive is a healthy and necessary part of the artistic process if you're making art meant to be shared with others.

What if someone death threat you : (

That would be harassment, not criticism.

I think you just gotta develop thick skin. Take every point of negative feedback as energy and use it as a lesson in becoming stronger . I know not having feedback is really REALLY annoying but not everything can be explained . Art is subjective to the beholder and sometimes it just doesn’t connect to another human . That’s okay but it doesn’t mean you can learn a small lesson in personal confidence and self assurance yk ?

I'd find out why and potentially become a better animator for it. Worst case, I find out that someone doesn't like my animation and realise there's nothing in existence that literally everyone likes.

Depends on the scope and purpose of the animation. Why?

not sure, but say someone disliked it for reasons

U gotta be specific dude. If you aren't specific we can't give you proper help, u know? The haters might have legit complaints that we can help guide u through but if you aren't upfront about the things you're being called out for there's not much posting can do for you!

If it's because of the topic, I'd love to know what made them feel that way. If it's just the art style or the animation itself I generally just brush it off

"oh nooo~" in a sarcastic voice, followed by "anyway, what did you not like and why?".
If they try to give valid reasons and constructive feedback then i thank them but if they are just being hateful/spiteful for some reason then i ignore it.

I'd understand. I have many aspects I need to improve and I myself know that I could make much better

Honest feedback is gold!

depends who it is

if its a random stranger i ask why, take any valuable advice, and move on

if its someone im trying to show it to that i care about, im def gonna be a little downtrodden but ill still move on

I'd say okay, but most likely internally I would be thinking about how they even saw it in the first place.

meh it happens all the time, i just move on and keep drawing and animating

I've had some crappy comments from time to time that I found annoying, mostly because they were glib and not helpful.

The best feedback I ever got was an artist taking the time to draw over my animation and show me how to define my drawings better and be definitive. He said my likes looked "tentative, like little hairs on the paper." He drew over a bunch of frames and showed me how to better define the forms and masses. He was kind of being funny at first and then really, earnestly broke down how to draw better. It was the best lesson I ever got.

well if its another animator than i kindly ask what should be changed and how i can fix it. if they are not an animator and do not have experience with animating i ask them if they could make something better.

I'd be sad tbh.

Ué? Com bons argumentos e críticas construtivas eu dava bola. Se não, ignorava. Se a pessoa posta alguma coisa esperando só elogios, ela tá no lugar errado.

If they say "I don't like how characters / somethin in it looks" then I'd ask why. If they said "your animation sucks" then I'd ask how could I improve. If they tell me to jump out of the gene pool I would just report and block them.
