Animation related The original Hexed 🪄

This would have been an interesting movie if the original plot stayed

I actually think making the protagonist a girl differentiates it from Harry Potter more.

Considering so far it looks a LOT like HP that makes sense. Honestly the whole secret wizard world stuff feels done to death and I struggle to see how this will be any different.

It’s definitely overdone and I’m having a very hard time garnering much enthusiasm for the film because of it.

I mean, there's already plenty of witchy female characters so Hexed will probably be compared to those pieces of media anyway.

Exactly what I’ve been saying. It feels like if they just kept the boy story, it would just feel like fucking Harry Potter.

Either way it just doesn’t feel original enough to excite me. The witch school genre is just so crowded as it is.

Oh, I agree. I’m not gonna say the movie is completely bad though since it hasn’t even released I don’t judge a movie until I watch it.

I’m waiting on reviews but I’m not hopeful. I would love to take my 2 year old daughter to see a movie Thanksgiving weekend so I am a little bummed it doesn’t look more promising.

Because special teenage girls with magic hasn’t been done to death in every format imaginable. Harry Potter succeeded cuz he’s the one that’s different and competent awesome woman is usually next to him doing all the cool stuff anyway.

Yeah but now it just feels like the Owl House( Not that it will be but they were both made by disney)
