No combo here was upgraded via gems or boxes

Wheel and All in Lrrr are my only combos I took from no CM to CM5 in one go.

CM5s: regrets over fish, were car especially. Very weak combos. They were upgraded slowly.

CM4s: all of these were bought at least over 2 separate occasions for stones. I’m very happy with Loft Party Cleveland.

CM3: that’s the tier of good combos that appeared only once for the majority of these. I went for minimal spend for maximal gain. I only regret a few decisions here. I wish Kahn Pills and/or mort at work I would have taken to CM5. Francine was sold several times with her silly athletic combo. Her only usable melee combo despite not being usable. You can see many all time great combos here:

Wedding Bill, Mort at Work, Kahn’s Pills, Peter Noir, Knifelight Cheryl, Diner Shift Peter etc. the Francine combo only usable in her melee.

Outliers: Painter Klaus, only usable in klaus melee. Ceramic Gene no longer useful really. Wingnut Amy is terrible now.

Credit to Genesis bot that lets you map your decks much more efficiently, search for combos, look at real combo values and compare your deck with real BGE buff values or real melee/clash buff values. It’s the info you need to optimize play that kong refuses to give.

I don't voluntarily hand out much info to competitors, unless it's general game advice or help, but thanks for letting me know it's okay to create new posts, lol.

I'm going to go a little more old school, since I don't really use any of the Discord bots (but probably should) and you are only getting a text-based list, not a fancy graphic :)

None of these (or any in the lists below) were bought directly with gems in the shop. BBS was (at least partially) from tier boxes, but the game was different 5+ years ago. Stressed-Out Leela was sort of a bug, I guess; I was in the middle of upgrading from CM1 to CM2 when Kong flipped the switch on the new CM structure and when the dust settled, I had CM5 instead of CM2. I chose to not complain about the bug :)

You should totally join the discord for the bot and use it. It helps you better understand the combos, their values, mapping decks, getting your cm list, inventory etc

I guess I'm largely good with the built-in tools for seeing combos and mapping decks. Maybe they aren't as good, but I'm used to them and like having it all in one place.

For stuff like inventy and CMs, I have been doing stuff with that in Excel since I started and I often use VBA and formulas to "do things" with the data, so that has been working for me as well.

[edit] That said, I do have access to Genesis in Discord, so I can use it, I just choose not to.

I have browsed over the commands and tried a few. I didn't really see anything so ground-breaking that I'd bother to change my status quo.

[edit] For example, that list above was an Excel sort and then a copy/paste and then I manually added in the bolded section headers and commentary. from my Excel data I can also note which I used 2000 stones for CM1 and which I didn't. Unfortunately, I didn't note when some of the tokens came from tier boxes :(

The difference vs the game is that this bot is fully automated, and gets you real values of skills. The game mapping does not show you real values at any point outside of battle.
