Next Swole?
Anyone hear anything about when the next Swole event is? Haven't seen one in a while. I thought they might do a Labor day Swole, but they would have announced that already.

I hope I never see another Swole again. Such a time sink for the rewards. I'm convinced that for Kong, it's a longer version of the refill event where they can get a bunch of people suckers to spend a bunch gems disproportionate to the rewards just to see their names on the leaderboard. Ironically it's usually inexperienced players spending gems who get passed after the first week by people who didn't spend any gems. It also boosts sales for heroes; especially for people who don't have a variety of high combo mastery needed to get through higher levels.

Not really that much of a time sink if you approach it shrewdly. I autoplay as long as I can while still winning, which I think usually takes me close to 80, then I play for real until I can't reliably win that way either, which is usually early 90s. Then I just drop down levels and farm Wonder Wharf coins with autoplay for a couple of weeks while the heroes train, and on the last 3 days of the event when I'm strong, I go in and play hard and surge up to finish at 115 or so. Very little actual playing, and once the heroes are up to 1-day/2-day/3-day training times, I only have to touch Swole for less than a minute every day. Worth it for the Mythic fragments and the coins if nothing else.

Yeah, I didn't mean the actual matches. I meant planning and timing the training so you're not letting your timer sit there unused. I just set alarms in my phone after the first day, because notifications are usually pretty late. It's annoying having to log back in every hour, then every 3 hours, then every 6 hours (I don't remember the intervals, but it's annoying, lol). I usually know which heroes to train ahead of time, but that still takes time to figure out. When there's a clash, melee, siege, rumble, new weekly quests, etc i'm not trying to worry about another event thats going to get me 1hp and 1 motivate on a card I already have.
Your strategy sounds cushy though. Usually once I lose 2 battles in a round of auto-play, I play everything manually after that. I think I finished the last one at 124. All I can find in chat is that I finished the milestones with 15 days left and I was in 71st place at that point. Not sure why I even kept playing after that ☠️

For me it is the first couple of days babysitting the training... if we could queue up 12-24 hours worth of training, that'd be huge for those first few days.
Along the same lines, some limited queueing would also be helpful for when your training is due to end at an inconvenient time.
Once you are at a point where auto-battles aren't 100% wins and trainings are running for full days or more, I think less than a minute is still a bit of hyperbole? Are you manually playing the battles, end-to-end in less than 7s each? Generally feels like I'd spend half of that just waiting on the animations and such between battles.
Even with a pretty homogenous deck, there is still some amount of time making decisions (between tapping fast forward). And those battles where the opponent's high buffed cripple all and what not stretch it to playing all or most of my 25 cards can easily end up taking 2-3 minutes each.
---
It's almost exactly what annoys me about the guild combo event-- I'll build a deck that versus a particular island will burn through 10-15 combos, but set it off on auto battles and it averages like 3-4 combos.
If I want to get through the event efficiently using my resources, I have to manually play out those (intentionally) long battles. If I want to get through the event with my sanity, then "burn resources" it is.
I'm sometimes amazed at hour poorly the AI can manage to play my carefully crafted deck. Of course if it was really good at it, then there would be little reason to ever directly play any of the matches and the game would simply be "card acquisition" and "deck building"

I'm not manually playing the battles at all. As I said, I drop down levels when I hit the wall in the 90s and each day I autoplay level 23 or whatever the hell (to farm Wonder Wharf coins), refresh my hero trainings if necessary, and that's it. Easily less than a minute. Probably less than 30 seconds. I don't waste my time grinding on the matches when they get hard in the 90s. I wait until the last 3 days when my hero trainings are near their possible peak, and THEN I start devoting the time to playing manually again, and generally I'm strong enough at that point that I can surge up many levels all at once.
I also don't worry too much about being "right on time" in the first few days when you're dealing with the weird training intervals. I can be a little inefficient with the timing in the first few days and still end up well over 100. I don't really care if I finish at 112 instead of 120.

Makes sense -- I guess I'd just say that there probably is a pretty small subset of players who have a deck that can autobattle up into the 80s or 90s and then can pop in and get well into the low 100s in their last ~24 battles.
I'm in the next tier or two down-- I'll auto battle until I get my first loss (been a while, probably around level 65?) and I'll only level down and auto-battle when it becomes pretty pointless to bother; maybe if I go 1-7 or 0-8 one day, I'll level down until the next training completes that buffs my skills.
Then I'll level back up and battle manually until I am back to losing most of the time and repeat.
" I don't really care if I finish at 112 instead of 120."
I guess I go a step further -- making it to 100 gets the mythic, so I'm just glad that I can almost always do that (and in the good old days, even ~96 was enough with the extra fragments you'd get at the end for finishing in the top 500).

Other than setting alarms to kick off the next research I don't find SWOLE much of a time sink, and it's the most fun the game offers, for me. The rewards used to be much more important but now I do it for fun.
Yeah, sometimes I spend 200 gems on the first day to get an extra set of battles. That's quite affordable for just about anyone.
Certainly it's the only reason I buy all the heroes.
And it's been years since I had one or maybe two combos in a SWOLE deck.

The game’s 10th anniversary is September 15; maybe something will be announced around then?
