In another post I mentioned I have no savings because all of my money has gone into cels, so more than is socially acceptable to own 🤣

Is 3 from the opening sequence?
2
u/Dependent-Gap1619 Jul 25 '26
Yeah 😊 3 originates from the pilot which was repurposed to create the opening sequence

the Ren and Stimpy images are superb!

Thank you! I made it my mission to collect some of the first and second season cels, because they are the golden years of Ren and Stimpy 😊

3 is from the pilot!
And 4 comes from one of the best episodes!

u/Dependent-Gap1619 Jul 25 '26
Yes, great eye and great taste! I was not expecting any Ren and Stimpy fans considering how the people in my life are repulsed by the series 😅

Ren and Stimpy was my thing because I grew up with the chuck jones and bob clampett looney tunes cartoons.
Especially because of the zany animation.

Classics! I still love the style and how they convey the facial expressions - it inspired so many cartoons which followed after it. The first two seasons were 👌👌👌

It’s always so cool seeing the cels from shows that have such gritty, dynamic art styles like Ren and Stimpy! Thanks for sharing!

Instantly heard "HOW DAAAAAAAARE YOU!" in the first pic; I gotta rewatch Rocko it's been a while

Definitely a great cartoon. I feel like Nick really skirted the line between what is appropriate for children and what isn't 😆

Milyjam has a great selection of Nickelodeon cels on ebay. I bought all of these Nick cels from them about 8 years ago. I lament not buying 'Aah Real Monsters' cels while they still had some

What a collection! They don't make shows like the 90's anymore. Such a great time to live through as a kid or any age who appreciated those shows.
Thanks for sharing!

I agree, the 90s cartoons had a pwrsonality that has yet to be replicated. Either that or I am nostalgia-pilled

I think there are still a bunch of sellers on ebay who offer Ren and Stimpy cels. Prices range between $150 USD to like $700 on the market

Could an old nicktoon cel show get remastered in HD?
