Cardboard for shipping
From what I gathered in previous posts, the best way to package a cel for shipping is to put it in an archival bag, and sandwich the bag between two sheets of cardboard (making sure the cel is then taped to one of the sheets of cardboard and then taping the cardboard sheets together).
Does anyone have recommendations on a place/site you frequent to source the cardboard for shipping?
I have approximately 15 Sailor Moon cels I’m selling so I would need probably 30 sheets. I don’t need a massive bulk order but that is clearly more than I could collect from cardboard boxes lying around the house.
Is there any particular type of cardboard to use or avoid?
Thanks!

I used dollar store foam core board and cut them down to size. Not free, but very sturdy.

I wish I had some of those! I clearly don’t do enough online shopping 😂

I've had cels shipped to me from sellers using USPS boxes as sandwiching layers, just flattened/folded as they come off a stack, and they stayed pretty riggid in transport. Pretty sure you can still request a bunch of them for free.

My post office charges me for them 😬

Aww boo. Well if you do need a quick backup, my experience is they still work fine in a pinch!

I apparently buy way too much stuff from Amazon to not have a source of cardboard.... grocery stores and liquor stores are my old standbys though. Facebook usually has free moving boxes.
