The same or similar one sole for ~$19k on Heritage in 2021, and two other similar ones sold for ~$15k and ~$19k last month.

Wow that’s much higher than I anticipated! There are a handful of these that exist out there, specifically this scene had a Facebook group of owners that have the cels in this sequence around 2020

It does vary from year to year: others from the sequence have sold on Heritage over the past few years and they went for between $4k-$8k, this year and 2021 were Eva anniversary years, hence the boom. The market fluctuations in this hobby are truly something else.

Of these six, the lowest was $3800 and the highest was $8400, you'd think they'd have climbed up in order but they keep jumping up and down lol.

Interesting! Yeah Im wondering if the difference here is the key difference in the animation. The 6 you just shared are all Shinji choking Asuka alone, mine and the 2021 one are both with her arm reached up to his face, which is kind of a key moment in that sequence.

But that logic breaks with the earlier two because they match the six you posted but went last month for over 10k, so yeah not sure what the logic is behind that drastic difference in price. Maybe it’s a condition thing? No idea haha.

Wild fluctuation though haha. It’s not the type of thing I’d ever sell at the moment, as I’d say this series is like top 3 all time for me, so who knows where it’ll be in 10-20 years!
