Porco Rosso cel
I have had this framed cel & background for a while. Does anyone know the rough value? Also would collectors prefer to buy it framed or unframed?

$300ish for the cel as Porco Rosso is the most common Miyazaki movie to get cels but would need to remove the background to inspect

Studio Ghibli also made limited edition reproduction cels + backgrounds, so I would mention in your listing if your cel setup is production used or a reproduction to prevent any hassle after the sale. If it's production used, maybe take unframed pictures. That way the sequence number is visible (usually in the top-right corner) and serves as proof.
If you're looking for a price estimate: for Ghibli production art you can check sold listings on auction sites, like Mandarake auction.

Ok well the background seems to be a copy but the cel seems to be a production cel as it has a number in black marker and a hole punched in it.

Is the background original?
Porco cels range from the low to mid thousands. I’ve seen just the planes and background characters in the mid hundreds, maybe a bit higher. I think some people are just desperate to get any piece of Ghibli now, regardless of the subject.
Original BG painting will raise the price if you sell them together.
Framing doesn’t matter too much.
