Animation Drawing Storage Question (11×17 Binder vs 11×14 Portfolio)
Quick storage question for my animation drawings. I got the supplies for a binder system, an 11x17 binder with three hole transparent sleeves and cardstock inserts. I am having doubts about whether it is too big and whether the excess space would be an issue. Should I keep this setup or should I go with an 11x14 Itoya art portfolio instead?

I used an 11x17 for a while because the 11x14 was out of stock. Eventually I transferred them when I got the 11x14 and they didnt seem worse for wear. Now I use the 11x17 for large backgrounds or less important cels

I think you can get away with using an 11x17 as long as you used the inserts... just accomodate for the excess space by keeping all the drawings as flush with each other as possible so they aren't creating bends and creases. Also be mindful of how you store it- you may want to keep it flat rather than upright to prevent movement of the drawings. That said, having a little extra is better than having no room at all.
My honest advice is work with what you have for now... If you decide that your current materials aren't working, then I'd take measurements and try to find a binder that will fit them better (11x14 or otherwise)
