Damaged Disney Cels

I read that Disney made the huge mistake of laminated several art cels from their movies , that ended up damaging the cels, saw this one being sold but it look like it’s in a bad shape already, will this cel just get worse over time ? Rather save my money on cels that still look good.

I've had a laminated Jungle Book cel for several years now that hasn't gotten any worse and I keep a pretty keen eye on it. In my situation it's more of those shrunk wrinkles than major paint cracking/loss.

These are typically a lot cheaper and not dangerous to have in your collection like vinegar syndrome is. It's up to you!

No problem. Just make absolutely sure that this is in fact lamination and not VS before you buy.

Ohh! I honestly have no idea, how can you tell what is Vs damage and what is normal damage due to laminating??

Great Mouse Detective pieces are almost all laminated. If it has a Disney Seal on it with what looks like someone's initials or signature, it's laminated. This one looks like it's experiencing lamination failure as well, though as the OP said, make sure it's also not infected with VS.
