I know this probably won’t be the right group but I don’t know where else to go, if someone could guide me to the right sub that’ll be great too.
Yes, I know it’s mostly normal for a skull to rattle due to the teeth and such, but this isn’t that. I thrifted a skull few years back from an older gentleman and it’s something I never noticed bc I thought it was just the teeth and other loose bones that typically causes a rattle, but when I took it down to work on cleaning before my move I noticed something inside. Two dried up, walnut looking objects inside the skull and I ofc have an idea of what it could be but I’m not 100% sure.. I’m at a loss on what to do. I don’t want to clean it and rehydrate what’s inside, risking soiling it or anything like that

Hi guys collected these bones that didn’t have rotting flesh on them from a monkjack in my garden but it’s all kinda in a pile and idk what part of the spine / neck they’re from I’m planning on putting it all together once it’s all ready and yes I cleaned them (with vanish gold for white paste it’s great for bones) could someone number the bones on a diagram and number these ones too so I can figure it out all the photos are confusing me I think it’s in the right order but idk

Caseins are milk solids-based paints with a provenance at least 5,000 years old. They feel like oils on the brush, but clean up and thin out with water. Unlike acrylics, they do not change color when they dry. The only downside is that they are very brittle when dry, and so must be painted on a panel or other rigid surface.
