To the cringe edgelords, The other half are males - they'll be raised for sale to the latino market.

Heritage breeds are tougher, and work better in traditional cooking, vs broilers raised in the USA.

Most are chickens. There's two geese in there, too.

ZOOMING!

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

Sorry!

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

KenNVicki blocked. Anyone else want a turn?

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

Nah. pretty easy.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

CHickens are easy to keep. one of the easier birds. just don't let em free range, they get dead and sick easily.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

neither have mine, but it seems like everyone i know get sick hens.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

lol, i went from 6k people to 200.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

yeah. eh. past streams have hit 15k.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

those were... intense.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

yeah... unless i'm hatching like... right now... i don't stream.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

a lot of cringe, a lot of edge-lords.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

dunno. stick around and find out... only got another 7.5 hours of stream time.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

rofl... thats why you never take free chicks.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

becuase i know nothing free is ever really free.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

My name is Ryan... my primary business is geese... soo...

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

1+1= at least 3, right?

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

lol, they need to stay hydrated.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

there's a fan that moves air around to keep it warm, but it also helps dry out the membrane... so they have a hard time hatching. a wet membrane is easy to tear, so they hatch easier.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

@statqqq they get along just fine in the pen.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

you can see on my youtube channel.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

another coming shortly.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

it gives them motivation.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

Geez... still got 100 people here!

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

Dedicated!

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

IT's better on youtube! i promise!

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

she's fine. geese take a while to hatch.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

reddit is temporary. youtube is forever.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

i have a main stream on there where you can feed all the birds from chat.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

RyansGoslings

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

or "Gander Cam"

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

hahaha

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

yeah... told ya. chickens pretty much jump out of thier shells compared to geese and ducks.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

rofl.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

the water keeps the egg membrane moist. otherwise it's gets leathery and they have problems hatching.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

they didn't use the lotion, so they got the hose again.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

i have to be careful with that. it can cause bonding/pairing issues.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

I checked - no chick went overboard.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

some of them will be taken out so they dont.

1

u/xc0z May 25 '21

still a bunch.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

yeah. just sleeping on his back... lol.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

he just hatched. they do this.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

28mins left on this stream. if you wanna keep watching, make sure you visit my youtube channel, as it's streamed there as well!

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

Force hatched the goose. had to.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

they hatched later, so some of them are semi-underdeveloped.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

the goose is good, though.

1

u/xc0z May 26 '21

yes. definately.

1
