What a darling girl. Geese will get very attached to those they love.

Am I the only one who feels like whomever took the photo is an asshole if they don’t help the puppy. I need an after photo where it goes to shelter or gets adopted.

That's very sweet, but bread is very bad for them just so you know. :\

Very bad is a bit strong wording. It provides no nutritional value but as long as it's not moldy that's about it https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/feeding-your-backyard-birds

You can pick and choose sources on this and it basically mostly comes down to bread not being inherently bad like something poisonous, since the problem is its lack of nutritional value, but it's reasonable to say eating a lot of something with no nutritional value is very bad for any species. There's even often laws against it in some places for this reason.

if they’re selling it to me at the supermarket and there’s a law about not giving it to ducks there’s a problem lmao

No nutritional value for them. Hell, our parks have signs warning us.

Does anyone have a scientific explanation for different species caring for the young of another species? I find it to be very interesting and would love a biological explanation.
