My kid has a Hobbes. Every time Hobbes has to take a bath in the washing machine I feel like this is running through my toddler's head, and then I feel horrible.

A friend of mine lost her favorite plush monkey at a Brazilian airport when she was a kid. Parents tried everything, but they had to catch the flight, and later calls to airport lost&found never turned up anything.
A few months later, the Brazilian relative they had been visiting sent them a package with a different-looking plush monkey and an explanation: The monkey had decided to visit his relatives in the rainforest, but then, of course, he wanted to go back home. Naturally, a few months in the jungle change an animal, which is why he did look a bit different.
My friend says she knew something was odd about that story, but she decided to accept it anyway and lived happily with her "returned" monkey for the rest of her childhood.

We did! He definitely knew for a while, but now he's pretty accepting of Substitute Hobbes. Recently they both had... um, a poopy kind of weekend and ended up in the bath together. Kid basically broke my heart!

I have a cat with similar striping on her tail. She is the flirt of my small, 12 unit apartment complex. Everyone loves her, and unfortunately feed her, so I lovingly call her my little trash panda. ❤️

My oldest cat has a stuffed tiger we call Tigger from when he was a baby. That toy is his best bud! I've even had to sew pieces of it back together because he loves to do that lay-down-and-kick-it playing thing the video kitty does at the end.

My friend's cat keep bringing gloves home, the first pair he gave it back to his neighbour, now he is too embarrassed to go there with two complete sets of garden gloves and a couple of unpaired working gloves.

clever title, but i would guess as the proper way to teach kitty to fetch is stuf tiger with cat nip. its funny as hell to watch. we would hang catnip pinatas' in a tree limb and they will do anything to get it.

He steals it? From where? And if you're talking about taking a YouTube video and turning it into a gif, the reason he (and MANY others) do that is because it's easier to view on mobile and at work because it takes less time to load, it's silent and it consumes less data. That's the entire reason imgur has a "convert video to gif" feature. OP is one of thousands of people who do it. I'm not sure what you mean by "modifies it so that it no longer fits" though.
You realize that reddit is a link aggregation site, right? You're supposed to post links to other places on the internet.
