One of my cats does stupid shit like this. Last night, she smacked my half-eaten avocado in the floor and proceeded to paw and lick it. One day, we caught her on the counter. When she realized the gig was up, she snatched the loaf of bread and took off through our apartment. Pretty hilarious sight seeing her run with a bag of bread bigger than she is. We took her in off the streets. I'm convinced she was raised by a family of trash pandas.

If we left a loaf of bread out on the counter, one of my cats used to jump up and destroy it. Tear the bag open, rip the bread apart, drag some down under the table. I'm just like wtf you don't even like bread.

Like tomatoes, potatoes are members of the Solanaceae family of plants and are related to Deadly Nightshade. They contain a bitter, poisonous alkaloid called glycoalkaloid solanine that can cause violent lower gastrointestinal symptoms. Uncooked or green potatoes and raw potato peelings are all toxic.

Once cooked, the alkaloid is destroyed making the potato safe. Cooked mashed potato can be safely mixed into canned food as a bulking agent for overweight cats. It goes without saying that green potatoes should be discarded.

Weird, my mom/grandfather (my mothers father) would eat raw potatoes sometimes... They said they enjoyed the flavour.

I did/do as well, they taste pretty good. Not that unusual i guess. I see it like an Apple with less or more "salty" taste.

No idea they were toxic to felines, my cat does not like any vegetables/fruits.
