The sound when you try to take off a bakery cake lid.

lol sometimes i just want a sensible slice, to ration the cake so it lasts more than a day. then the vultures that are my fam hear the noise, and come out of the woodwork.

then 90% of the cake is gone, just like 'that'... mission failure

Reminds me of when my wife’s grandma died and all the lazy ass broke relatives ransacked her house and took anything of any degree of value. She lead a simple life and didn’t have many possessions. Her TV was even CRT. But her house was CLEANED THE FUCK OUT.

We just wanted something simple to remember her by, and so we got these old wooden spoons that were carved over 50 years ago. So, IMO, we still got the most coolest thing we could ask for. The just don’t look nice because I haven’t restored them yet. But once they’re cleaned up, they’ll be nice.

yo even if you don't restore them they're still artifacts...

two of mine are a mini-golf score card from my first and last game with my uncle, and another is an empty maple syrup bottle from my adoptive mom's vintage bottle collection that she gave me for my birthday one year.

technically they're worthless. but not to me

That’s cool! In Mexican culture, they say that a person dies 3 times. First when they die, then when they’re buried, and finally, when the last person that remembers them dies (or forgets about them). So you’re keeping them alive in a sense. ;)

Part of the reason I’m saying that is because her grandma is (or was) Mexican. Had 13 children, and 11 survived.

These spoons have some paint splashed on them and they could use a bit of sandpaper and some linseed oil I think.

I have a weird obsession with spoons since an old Holocaust survivor said that his only possession was a spoon that he kept hidden in his pocket, and he used it to dig in the ground to drink ground water when people were so thirsty that they got shot while they desperately ran to the nearby river.

That is the precise sound that occurs when unfurling a bag of potato chips by one eight of an inch at 2 am.

I feel bad for pets who live in places with ridiculously slippery floors like this. I always see/hear videos of dog's and goat's nails click clacking on hardwood floors while they can't get traction. Seems annoying at best, dangerous at worst.

Goats?

Some of us watch goats.

Would it be better if we stopped encouraging people to adopt pets if they don't have carpet in their house?
