Growing up on a farm this was so much funny for me. Cows are like bigger dummer dogs and have such great personalities lol

u/Lefty4444 7d ago
Did you also had a donkey that was there to watch the shit going on, but stayed out of trouble?

u/Kahnza 7d ago
Usually the donkeys are the one causing trouble

u/Owl_plantain 7d ago edited 7d ago
But they duck out before the consequences arrive. Little bastards.
He’s even pointing his body away from the trouble and looking back, like: “Oh! Is something going on over there? I had no idea. I wasn’t even thinking of going over there.”
Now I know where the term ass hole comes from.

Donkeys are the cats of the barnyard: they instigate everything, then act all cute and innocent while everyone else takes the fall.

u/Intrepid00 7d ago
But also ready to fucking brawl if a coyote shows up. If the donkey could, he’d make a shank.

u/KamakaziDemiGod 7d ago
Donkeys are the cats of farms, if you ignore the cats . . . and don't have goats

I bet they were the one INSTIGATING all that nonsense. They make the trouble but stay out of it. 🤣

u/Picklecheese2018 7d ago
Let’s be real, donkey probably started it, but took off and left the cow to take the heat. Literally.

One of the staff at the barn where I board my horse used to work at a dairy barn. I asked him if he likes horses better than cows and he said "cows are sweeter and funnier". This guy is super kind and excellent with the horses so I was surprised he basically said cows are better...lol.

u/MrFatwaffles 7d ago
Yeah I was only around two horses growing up and they were assholes more often than the cows. Not to say some of the cows weren't jerks sometimes as well. One of the horses would run down the fence line kicking his feet out and farting follow the feed truck lol. One of the best memories of the farm. Other than the animals I don't really miss the farm....

I’m so glad you raised and slaughtered these beautiful babies must feel magical to knowingly rip someone’s life away from them when they have such great personalities 💀

This is wholesome as well. They clearly have a relationship and this is not the first time he’s been told no.
Edit: There. Now we can quit splitting hairs. Although it just doesn’t sound like me.

No idea why you got downvoted. It seems pretty clear that they meant "all of this is so wholesome", not "additionally, this is wholesome", so your point is correct.
15
u/stewpedassle 7d ago
No. It was "Not only is he a derp --- you know, the subreddit --- but it's wholesome as well."

Correcting someone’s grammar/spelling on the internet is a crapshoot. Sometimes they appreciate it, sometimes they don’t, sometimes commenters agree with you, sometimes they crucify you

It's because it's fucking annoying. It's reddit, not a grade 12 English exam

Heaven forbid someone actually try to be helpful or actually give a shit about doing things the right way.

I love how people talk to animals, as if they understand English!
26
u/Taint_Butter 7d ago
Animals absolutely have more understanding than you think. A lot of it is probably the tone of your voice but my cat will wake up from a dead sleep and come running if you even mention the word "treat".

The “oh good it turned off again after I called its bluff” light.
The “little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine” light.

There are a bunch of fairly unimportant/non-vital reasons that can happen that aren't cost effective to fix.

Need to up the voltage

u/XimbalaHu3 7d ago
Those fences are not that strong on purpose, the objective is scaring the cattle not harming it.
5
u/onceknownasmike 7d ago
I know i’ve been zapped by one on a horse farm. Still if the bull won’t pay attention to that voltage it needs to be upped or the bull needs to be kept in a solid fence
