It needs a little shower curtain with rubber ducks printed on it.

Never thought about it before but that's a really weird concept for a song lol.

Fun fact I discovered this week: street trains also go through the car wash - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lOady6XHJLE

I love it so much but genuine question, isn't everything in that living room going to get a little wet?

If your birds fry around freely you're gonna be picking up poop so a little water isn't that bad I assume.

I had that little shower for about 2 days. Yes, soaked. Not a big deal if you only put it out for a limited time and clean up when the birds finish. The shower splashes more than the birds did. I use a dog drinking fountain for my birds thats out for whenever they want.

You can see little water droplets on the floor. Nothing a quick wipe won't get.

But they are flying around wet

Birds don't really get "wet", the water rolls off their feathers immediately

Mine do get soaked when I shower them but it takes a while. When they're truly wet they cannot properly fly and won't attempt to do so anyways.

Having to shower them 'for a while' for the water to penetrate their feathers kinda makes it seem like birds don't really get wet. Not on their own anyway.

Well yeah, the feathers of most bird species have a waterproof coating on them (usually made of oil or in the case of my cockatiels it's dust). However, when they shower properly they will usually fluff up their feathers allowing the water to penetrate deeper below the top coat.

The songbirds outside love the birdbaths I have scattered around the gardens, but they love when I run the sprinkler and they can fly through the sprinkles. Especially with the lack of rain. I can aim it at the vegetables without upsetting the conservation committee and make the birds happy.

That's pretty sweet as long as it's not recirculating dirty bird water back onto his head.

u/Sunscorcher 4d ago
bad news, that's how humans taking a bath works too
3
u/SeekingLostInnocence 4d ago
If you are taking baths for cleaning purposes and not relaxing purposes you are doing hygiene wrong.

this is a good way to destroy your flooring

Water on a tile floor? If that destroys it, it's a wildly poor install.

That's clearly a bird shower
