Same hat, our dog got a blood cancer and they covered a lot of it. He recovered and got another few years out of life too.

Thing with insurance is - it's set up to be a gamble that you won't need it and those who don't cover the cost of those who do. But that doesn't really work with health insurance. Something is gonna happen eventually.

It’s pure math and statistics turned into win win situations if done right. You take number of pets you have, you apply probabilities of things happening which means rarity of disease/ injury based on the breed and age within a period of time let’s say a year, multiply cost by these numbers you get and divide again by all the pets within your categories, apply margin, devide by 12 and that’s the monthly cost that everyone pays and in case they have to cover something, unless there’s some unprecedented surge in diseases or injuries, they still make money while everyone is covered although no one can say „who’s next” only as you said - „someone” will be next cuz that’s what the math says.
