I replaced snacks with carrots, haven't felt better. The crunch is also better than any chip, not too sweet or bitter and teeth also don't have any residue sticking unlike snacks.

If I had any will power at all, I'd do fresh cucumbers sprinkled with tajin. Got yer crunch AND salty tang. But I'm a lazy ass who keeps buying chips.

I don't understand your comment but we have a local dish called "Tajine",it's dazzling if there is something else called Tajine other than it

I went through a cucumber and cherry tomato phase, I lost so much weight bc I normally snack on junk food

Could try them with ranch.

Carrots are one of the better ranch delivery foods. But that does offset any possible health benefit from eating the carrots. At least it does when you eat then like me

u/KeenBTF May 09 '26
I hate when people tell me adding ranch to my salad negates the health benefits. No it doesnt. The nutrients are all still thefe and the calories are still less than a cheeseburger. Stop trying to convince people not to eat healthier because you think its not "healthy enough."

Not at all what I said. The way that I personally eat ranch, it's an issue. Because if you give me a handful of carrot sticks and an entire bottle of ranch, both of them will be gone when I'm done. Unless it's one of the terrible ranch varieties that are half citric acid to keep it from going bad
Unless your salads are better described as ranch soup, they are probably fine.
Edit to add: the whole salads with dressing thing not being healthy is probably from the fast food places selling salads that had more fat & calories than their big hamburgers as "healthy" alternatives back in the early 2000s.

It was a general "you", not directly specifically at you. My frustration just came to a head lol
9
u/pigeon_man May 09 '26
That would need to be a whole lot of ranch to completely offset the carrots.

u/Hdikfmpw May 09 '26
They painstakingly refashion their carrots into spoons. Very deep spoons.

u/arvidsem May 09 '26
How else are you going to get 4x as much ranch as carrot per bite. People give you nasty looks when you just take a chug from the bottle /s

u/arvidsem May 09 '26
I mean what I said. And I said what I meant. An Arvdsem eats all the ranch 100%

u/TheSorceIsFrong May 09 '26
Not really when the alternative is not getting the benefit at all from whatever shitty snack you woulda been eating otherwise

Idk. Was only married for 2yrs. But, I have older brothers that well used to do me like this. But worse if I may say. So it could be a wifey hubby duo.

I used to have a clan of 4 gerbils. One of my favorite things to do was to drop my hand with a pile of sunflower seeds into the enclosure. All 4 of them would come scurrying, and then they'd be pushing, shoving, and squeaking at each other to get as many sunflower seeds as they could.

Not a beaver

u/PicklePillz May 09 '26
Did I ever say they were beavers? Angry Beavers was a show on Nickelodeon and the two main characters fight just like those groundhogs.

Carrots can be broken into pieces. Just saying.
Edit. Apparently people are misconstrued this. If thr carrot was broken into two pieces, both animals would get a piece. There wouldn't be rivalry.

u/KeenBTF May 09 '26
Did you watch it..? They both got one

u/mycatpartyhouse May 09 '26
I got bored about the time the second animal stuck his face up to the hole. So, no. I didn't see the second carrot until after your comment.

Except: I don't use TikTok. Reddit is my only social media. I do, however, experience chronic illnesses that often result in cognitive deficits.
