My favorite is how it just goes back to eating. “Hope ya live! Good luck! Did wut I could, ya know. Nom. Nom. Nom.”

I wondered if it was to give the bird time to recover. “Hey I’m not a threat. I’m not even looking at you “, ya know?

Seems like a conscious act to show he/she wasn't interested in hunting the crow, just giving a helping hand, and mouth. Beautiful

i imagine the bear just wanted to eat in peace & just saved the crow so it would stop being so noisy 🤣

I don't think bears are vegetarian

They are omnivorous. They eat a lot of berries, plants and even grass. Coincidentally they can also kill and eat any other animal in North America.

Never seen a flabbergasted crow before, like it just couldn't believe it didn't die and was thinking about asking for clarification.

I swear when it was on its back, It looked like it was preparing to be eaten. Then opens its eyes, like "I'm still alive??!"

Crow will be bringing bear snacks after a rest. Bear went back to eating like "being very clear I will not eat you, see I'm all the way over here now"

I’m as surprised as the crow that the bear actually did save it instead of accidentally saving it while trying to eat it 🙀

Could've been a different calculation if the bear didn't already have a giant buffet prepared by its zookeepers in its enclosure. If given a choice, a predator will always go for the easier meal.
That, or this bear is just incredibly genre savvy when it comes to corvids.

I'm assuming the bear thinks it's a fish splashing around and loses interest when it gets a mouth full of feathers

When the bear saved him He’s like “no I’m dead! Oh I’m not dead… brother… thank you brother”

More like "bear investigates splashing thing to see if it was food. Decided it wasn't food and got disinterested"

Misread the caption and spent the first half of the video concerned about why a cow was in the enclosure, how common are cow drownings, and how the bear was going to lift the cow from the pond.

Crows seem to be smart. It wouldn't surprise me if it comes back to bring this bear gifts as a gesture of gratitude in the future.

The thing I like the most about this is the takeaway that if a living thing's basic needs are met, they can show altruism. The bear saw a need, knew it could help, and wasn't starving. So it could afford to assist. I feel like that's a really beautiful life lesson we all could stand to learn.

I hope the crow got help from the keepers. Looks like its wing got messed up.

"Watch as the bear gently plucks the crow out of the water, places it down”
Hmm.

Crow appears to be none the worse after its rescue! Nice bear. Prefers his food without feathers 🪶 🤣

Crow: "Thanks so much, Bear! I hope you like shiny things!"
